The individual skeet tournaments in the World Cup competition that is taking place in Lima are giving new medals to shooters who use Gemini chokes for skeet.
On the Peruvian platforms there are several athletes who have competed to earn a place on the podium, both in the men’s and women’s competition.
In order, for the men’s skeet competition our Nicolas Pacheco Espinosa is on the top of the podium, for the occasion also as a host. The Peruvian, after 37-37 achieved in the four-way final, beat the Argentine Federico Gil in the shoot-off for 4-3 winning the gold medal.
A mention for the performance goes also to Cristian Ciccotti, unfortunately eliminated in the second semi-final with 17/20.
In the women’s metch our chokers found space on the podium thanks to the third place of Lucie Anastassiou. The French athlete, after finishing in the lead of the first day of qualifying, gave way only to Dania Jo Vizzi and Austen Jewell Smith.
The performances of Francesca Del Prete and Francisca Crovetto Chadid were also very good, however interrupted in the semifinals.
