2022 World Cup (Nicosia): in the mixed skeet team triumph Ba

After the individual events that brought several Gemini shooters to the podium, it was the turn on the Cypriot platforms of the mixed team skeet competition that, starting from Paris 2024, will become an official part of the Olympic program. The premises are really good! How do we know that? From the results in the first stage of the Nicosia World Cup where Bacosi-Cassandro and Cainero-Rossetti climbed respectively on the first and third places of the podium and, with the first three athletes, also our chokes.

Recalling the race, the first duo composed of the Olympic champion from Rio de Janeiro 2016 and the silver of the individual skeet flawlessly played since the first series. Opponents in the direct clash are the Americans Connor-Mc Bee with whom they have engaged in a high-level challenge. The latter could not do anything in the medal match, finally giving up to the Azzurri with a clear 6-2.

But not only the highest place has been painted of our tricolor: also the other Olympic couple Cainero-Rossetti (Beijing 2008 and Rio 2016) has proudly conquered the third place with an excellent 44 out of 48.

A beautiful and winning performance is recorded by all the athletes who thus demonstrate to have what it takes for the most important competitions, also in view of the Olympic qualifiers for Paris. Congratulations to Diana, Chiara and Tammaro: happy to have you in our great Family!
