A new medal by Gemini lands on the Nicosia platforms! It was Danka Barteková who won in the women's skeet, not new to these performances and who goes on to add a new silver to her rich palmares.
A challenging race that the shooters had to face: sun, wind, downpours and even snow fell on the Cypriot plant adding a pinch of adrenaline to the final stages of the challenge.
The Slovakian athlete, expert in being focused and concentrated, got herself into the medal match by clashing with Amber Hill. In the final, the British won, with a total of 34 out of 40, while Barteková finished in second place with an excellent 28 out of 36 that allowed her to wear silver around her neck.
One step from the podium Chiara Cainero who, after entering the final, was unable to go beyond the fourth place (13 out of 20). Out of the game, instead, Diana Bacosi, stuck unfortunately in fifteenth position.
Several shooters present in the race who rely on us in their competitions: on top of the ones already mentioned, we proudly name Lucie Anastassiou, Barbora Sumova and the Italian Martina Bartolomei and Martina Maruzzo, who ended at the semifinals but who certainly has much more to prove.
It is a great pleasure to see several pink quotas choose our chokers. To Danka our warmest congratulations for the silver and to all the athletes good luck for the sports year: happy to have you in our big family!
