World Cup 2022 (Baku): the waterfall of medals keeps going f

2022 is proving to be a profitable year for shooters using our trap and skeet chokes. In the fourth stage of the 2022 World Cup that has just ended in Baku (Azerbaijan), several medals were won and excellent performances recorded on the race fields.

In trap, the Czech Jiří Lipták got on the top of the podium in the men’s individual race. The Olympic champion of Tokyo 2020 has in fact established himself with a net 35/35 on all opponents, confirming once again the excellent skills put on the field in every competition in which he was called to participate.

Moving into the Skeet, in the men’s race a double result came for the shooters who rely on Gemini. The silver medal went to the young promise Nicolas Lejeune who, with 29 plates, had to surrender only to the American Vincent Hancock. To complete the podium we find our Danish athlete Jesper Hansens, third with 25 targets.

In the final of women’s Skeet to highlight the excellent performance of Lucie Anastassiou. The French shooter won the gold medal by breaking 36 targets in the medal match. With only two mistakes she took home the title of champion, closing the competition on the top of the podium ahead of the American Caitlin Connor.

Also worth mentioning are the performances in the Skeet of Martina Bartolomei and Jakub Tomeček, both stopped in the semifinals despite the good conduct of the race.

To all the medalists and to those who participated in this event congratulations for the results achieved. We are happy to have you all in our great Family, remembering that we are by your side all along, victory or defeat.
Now let’s head to the next stage that will take place in the second half of July in Changwon, South Korea.
