World Championships Shotgun: Areeba Khan takes silver in the junior skeet

Following the challenges of trap, came the turn of skeet. The best young athletes in this sport and, later on, the more experienced, are competing on the Osijek platforms during the 2022 Shooting World Cup.
It is from the junior final of women's skeet that the medal comes for one athlete who uses our chokers for shooting: the winner was Areeba Khan.

The young Indian athlete, after qualifying in third position and closing the first round at the top of the rankings, found herself up against Britain's Sophie Hermann for the title. Areeba, already a bronze medalist in the Suhl stage of the 2022 World Cup, once again brought her best skills into play, captivating her audience.
The remarkably close final saw our athlete take second place, winning the silver medal thanks to the twenty-nine hits scored out of the 40 available (her opponent hit 30).
Completing the podium was Romanian Raveca-Maria Islai, taking third place with 20/30.

Moving on to the men's skeet, the bronze won by young Czech Martin Vcelicka is worth a mention.

Enormous satisfaction not only for Areeba and the entire Indian national team - in the latest junior and senior competitions it has proved to have strong, experienced athletes on the team - but also for Martin. It is a pleasure to have young winning shooters in our Family: good luck with everything!
