2022 European Skeet (Larnaca): Jiri Liptak wins gold and pas

Jiri Liptak never stops and wins a new gold! On the shooting platforms of Larnaca (Cyprus), where the 2022 European Skeet Championships are being held, the Czech shooter gives opponents a new style lesson and wins the continental title and the pass to Paris 2024.

The athlete from Brno, in the Grand Final of four, has crumbled as many as 31 of the 35 clay pigeons available, clearly detaching opponents and without resorting to the golden hit. The attempts of the Swede Rickard Levin-Andersson, second at 25, and the British Nathans Hales, third at 21 were useless.
Also worth mentioning is the presence of the defending champion Matthew Coward-Holley, who ended in fifth place.

A race that saw Jiri’s complete domination, partly thanks to the help of our chokes for Skeet. On top of the European title, the shooter also earns his nation’s entry pass to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“I am glad to have won the quota for my beloved Czech Republic on the first attempt. This will allow me to face the next competitions with more peace of mind!”, states the champion at the end of the event.

Thanks to this victory, for Jiri it is the second absolute triumph to the European in his career (after Lonato 2019) and the sixth overall individual medal in the event.
Congratulations to the new European champion on the result. We are happy to have you in our great Family!
