It's time for individual competitions in Larnaca, Cyprus, where the European Skeet Championship are held on the shooting ranges. The first final of the single rounds was the Women’s final, valid both for medals and for two Olympic quotas (one per nation per event).
Also on this occasion, there are many athletes who chose our chokes for Skeet.
One of these is Danka Barteková. The Slovak athlete, whom we are used to see in great performances in recent years, has finished in third place with 27 out of 30 hits, thus winning a nice bronze!
After a tough and decisive challenge at the last round, the gold went to British Amber Hill, first ahead of German Nadine Messerschmidt. Both were also awarded the Olympic quota for Paris 2024.
But Danka wasn't the only athlete to represent Gemini on the field. In fourth place Diana Bacosi (19 out of 20), disappointed with the final result after dominating the first semifinal with 27 out of 30.
In the field also the Czech Barbova Sumova (5°), the transalpine Lucie Anastasiou (7°) and another Italian Chiara Cainero (10°).
It is always a pleasure to see so many of our chokes in the field and even more so to find them on the podium. Congratulations to Danka and all the shooters on their performance, we are delighted to have you in our great Family!
