A blistering weekend, not only for the extreme temperatures in the shooting area but also the tough competition that excited the spirits at competitive level. In fact, the greatest experts in Compak Sporting gathered at the Tav San Fruttuoso range (Mantua) to compete in the coveted race to the title of Italian Champion.
The “Eccellenza” category was won by our Luca Busdraghi, who came first with a final score of 192 after a gripping contest that had spectators holding their breath. After an exciting head-to-head in the tie-break, Michael Nesti climbed onto the third step of the podium, another shooter supported by our chokes, who with a score of 191+9 brought the competition to a close, winning an impressive bronze.
Moving on to the category reserved for Juniors, we find the ranking of the more experienced repeated, with the chokes for compak sporting produced by Gemini in first and third place. After having won the World Championship a few weeks ago, thanks to another flawless performance, young Cristian Camporese also adds the Italian title of the 2022 season to his list of victories. Thanks to his score of 187, the athlete from Padua once again demonstrated his skills, to put himself in the spotlight during this competition weekend too. Matteo Plodari, a fast rising young man who has proven so much during the latest challenges, is also on the podium thanks to a score of 182 that allowed him to win a praiseworthy bronze.
Our congratulations go to Italian Champions Luca and Cristian, to the "bronzes" Michael and Matteo and to all the participants. On such sweltering days, seeing the tenacity of all the shooters and the support of their many fans, brings a great rush of satisfaction!
