The 2023 ISSF World Championships are taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 17 to 24 August. Hundreds of male and female shooters will compete for medals and podium placements at the Baku Olympic Range so as to seal the pass to Paris 2024.
The men's skeet event of the World Shooting Championships in Baku ends with the victory of the Greek shooter Efthimios Mitas who, in addition to the world title, achieves the first of the four quota placements up for grabs for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The 38-year-old two-time Olympian hits 56 out of 60 targets ahead of Finnish shooter Eetu Kallionen, who is awarded the silver medal. Again, a round of applause greets the Danish shooter Jesper Hansen who finishes fifth scoring 26/3.
As regards women's skeet Danka Bartekova wins the world title and gets to the top step of the podium, cruising a 11-10 in the shoot off. The Chilean shooter Francisca Crovetto Chadid is also given an ovation, for attaining the sixth place with a 16/20.
It is a huge satisfaction for us to see the great results obtained by the shooters relying on our chokes and it is even better to know that you are cheerful and content.
